Arion (mythology)

Areion (Greek Ἀρείων, also Arion ) is a wonder horse from Greek mythology.

It went from a compound of Poseidon Demeter forth. Poseidon had Demeter, who mourned for her daughter Persephone pursued. Demeter turned into a mare and hid in a herd of King Onkios, but Poseidon transformed himself into a stallion and beat them that way.

Arion was very fast and could speak. He was first Onkios and then Heracles. Later Arion was to Adrastus, king of Argos away, so this could save the Seven against Thebes from the defeat.
