Arkenberger Baggersee

Stretch

The Arkenberger Stretch (also called lake Arkenberge or Arkenberger Kiessee ) is located in the north of Berlin's Pankow district in the local situation Arkenberge, close to the outskirts of Berlin.

Formation

The lake was created in 1979. During the years before had here from a gravel pit building material for the expansion of the nearby highway, now the A114, has been removed.

Terms & management

The State Angling Association Berlin manages the lake fishing legally.

Due to new EU directives on water purity 2004 a general bathing was prohibited for the lake.

Inflows and outflows

For lakes typically there are no additions or drain.
