Armando Emilio Guebuza Bridge

The Armando Guebuza - Bridge is a bridge over the Zambezi River in 2009, inaugurated in the city of Caia in Mozambique. The bridge is 2736 meters long and 16 meters wide, the second longest Zambezi Bridge after a little further situated above the River railway bridge Dona Ana Bridge. It is named after the 280- km upstream lying in Tete Samora Machel Ponte second road bridge in Mozambique over the Zambezi and the last bridge before the Indian Ocean.

Construction began in March 2006, and was officially opened on August 1, 2009. Namesake of the bridge is Armando Guebuza, the current president of the country. It connects the provinces of Sofala and Zambezia. The cost of its construction is estimated at 80 million U.S. dollars.
