Armando (producer)
Armando (actually Armando Luis Gallop, born February 12, 1970 in Chicago, USA, † 17 December 1996) was an American DJ and music producer with Cuban roots.
(Written partly 1-5-1 ) with classics like Land Of Confusion or 151 Armando counted among the founders of the acid house scene in Chicago, but also go some House classics such as 100 % Of Disin ' You on his account. He founded with Warehouse Records in 1988 his own label, whose name is leaning to the legendary house club.

Life
Leukemia
Armando was diagnosed with leukemia, however, had no health insurance and therefore had to take the long and expensive hospital stays even. After the release of his latest album One World One Future therefore a charity tour was organized, among other things, in September 1996 in Germany station made . Several colleagues from the global techno DJ and producer environment occurred in this tour and renounced in favor of the treatment Armando to your fees. Also featured Techno Fanzine free ad space for this purpose. Despite this substantial commitment Armando died on 17 December 1996 from the disease.
