Armies of Exigo

Armies of Exigo is a fantasy real-time strategy game for the PC and the first work of the Hungarian Computer game development company Black Hole Entertainment.

Gameplay

There are three factions available: " Empire ", " beasts " and " Fallen ".

Humans, dwarves and elves are on the side of the Empire; Orcs and trolls on the side of monsters and undead and insect-like creatures on the side of the fallen. Each side has its own individual style, his own abilities, heroes and units.

The special feature of Armies of Exigo is that there are many cards a walk underground. The player can then switch back and forth between the various surfaces. This opens up some strategic depth and allows for example Surprise attacks.

The game got good reviews, was sometimes classified as Warcraft III copy because it is similar in structure and has much in common with the strategy classic. However, one of the main differences is the better and more realistic graphics. Nevertheless Armies of Exigo is already forgotten and is rarely played while WarCraft III to this day a popular and long-lived title has remained, largely due to the support by Blizzard Entertainment. Meanwhile, is distributed Armies of Exigo from City Interactive.
