Army Service Ribbon

The Army Service Ribbon is a military award of the United States Army. The award is given for the passed basic training since 10 April 1981. The Army Service Ribbon is also awarded to members of the Reserve and the National Guard.

Soldiers who had completed their basic training before 1981, the award were also awarded, if they were still in service. Soldiers who had left the Army before 1981, were not subsequently honored with the award. Soldiers who later served again ( after 1981 ), the Award were awarded after they had completed four months of their new service.

The Army Service Ribbon is similar to the Air Force Training Ribbon Badge.
