Arne Paus

Arne Paus ( born 2 May 1943) is a Norwegian figurative painter.

Paus studied from 1964 to 1966 under Joseph Beuys at the Dusseldorf Art Academy and from 1967 to 1970 under Aage Storstein and Alf- Jørgen Aas at the National Art Academy in Oslo. He made his public debut in 1966. In the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s Arne Paus, together with, inter alia, Bjørn Fjell, Karl Erik Harr and Odd Nerdrum several exhibitions arranged, under the title of Romanticism and Realism.

Paus has made in Belgium, the Netherlands and England, as well as several Norwegian cities exhibitions.

His daughter is the artist Bodil Paus.
