Arnie David Giralt

Arnie David Giralt Rivero ( born August 26, 1984 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban triple jumper.

The Vice - youth 2001 world champion and junior world champion in 2002 was at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis fourth with 17.23 m. In qualifying he was even jumped 17.31 m.

After a victory at the Ibero- American Championships in 2004, he left in the qualifiers for the Olympic Games in Athens.

An eighth place finish at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki and a seventh at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka followed the silver medal at the World Indoor Championships 2008 in Valencia with 17,47 m.

At the Olympic Games in Beijing, he was removed with his personal best jump of 17.52 meters in fourth, seven inches of bronze and 15 centimeters of gold.

Arnie David Giralt is 1,82 m tall and weighs 72 kg. He is coached by his father David Giralt, who belonged in the 1970s to the world's best wide jumpers.
