Life

Arnold of Cleves was a younger son of Count Dietrich II. / IV. of Cleves and Adelheid of Sulzbach. Testified he documented is 1188-1198. Prior to 1191, he married Adelaide of Heinberg, with whom he founded the Klever sidelines of Heinberg. Their children are known Dietrich († 1228 ), Arnold ( † 1218 ) and Agnes.
