Arnold Rørholt (jurist)

Arnold Andersson Rørholt ( born January 21, 1909 in Tønsberg, † 1986) was a Norwegian lawyer.

Career

Rørholt received in 1932 the degree of juris candidata and studied from 1932 to 1934 at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International Studies. He then worked as a secretary at the International Labour Organisation ( ILO). From 1939 to 1950 he was Secretary General of the Norwegian Red Cross.

He then worked as a representative of the High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations, 1951 in the Federal Republic of Germany and 1957-1969 in Austria.
