Arrano Beltza

Arrano Beltza (Basque for black eagle ) is a sovereignty ancient symbol of the kingdom of Navarre. It is, in particular as a flag on a yellow background, used by Basque left nationalist circles as a symbol for the whole Basque Country. The flag is preferred by these circles often the official flag of the Basque Country, the Ikurriña than older icon.

The Arrano Beltza was the Signum King Sancho VII the Strong of Navarre ( 1194-1234 ).
