Arsen Kanokov

Arsenic Baschirowitsch Kanokov ( kabard.: Къанокъуэ Арсен, Qanoque arsenic, Russian Арсен Баширович Каноков; born February 22, 1957 in Schitchala ) was 2005-2013 president of the Russian republic of Kabardino -Balkaria.

Kanokov was born in Schitchala, a small village Kabardinian. For a long time he was a successful businessman in Moscow and was elected in the 1990s repeatedly to the businessman of the year. From 7 December 2003, he worked for the LDPR deputy of the Russian Duma, but moved after only about a year to the United Russia party on.

From September 2005 to December 2013 he was president of Kabardino -Balkaria and successor of Valeri Muchamedowitsch Kokow which it self-determined and whose election had been confirmed by the local parliament.
