Artabanus II of Parthia

Artabanus I was a Parthian king, who reigned 128-123 BC. He was an uncle of his predecessor Phraates II, who was killed in the resistance struggles against central Asian nations that threatened the eastern border of the Parthian Empire. Even Artabanus I was killed in these battles, while at the same time was the Parthian Empire in the West in resolution. Individual provinces such as the Charakene declared their independence.
