Artavazd Peleshyan

Artawasd Peleschjan (Armenian Արտավազդ Փելեշյան; born February 22, 1938 in Leninakan ) is an Armenian filmmaker. A wider audience still unknown, it is appreciated by connoisseurs for its innovative assembly technology.

Peleschjan grew up in Kirowakan (now Vanadzor ) that initially worked as a laborer, then became engineer and attended from 1963 WGIK, the Film School in Moscow. With Wremena goda ( The Seasons ) ( 1972), he became known beyond the borders of the Soviet Union itself. He has also appeared as a theorist.

Peleschjan now lives in Moscow.
