Arthur Japin
Arthur Valentijn Japin (* July 26, 1956, Haarlem, Netherlands) is a Dutch writer; Actor and screenwriter.
Life
Arthur Japin is the son of theater critic Bert Japin. When he was twelve years old, his father committed suicide. From 1982 studied Japin Acting in Amsterdam and London. In Amsterdam, he then studied for two years and Dutch literature at the Kleinkunstacademie. Until 1987 Japin worked primarily as an actor before he concentrated on writing. His first novel he published in 1996 verhalen with Magonische. With The Black with white hearts and two of his novels The Seduction previously been published in German language.
Japin lives in Utrecht together with the US - American writer and translator Benjamin Moser.
