Arthur Tafoya

Arthur Nicholas Tafoya ( born March 2, 1933, Alameda, USA), Bishop Emeritus of Pueblo.

Life

Arthur Nicholas Tafoya was ordained a priest on May 12, 1962 the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.

On 1 July 1980 he was appointed by Pope John Paul II for the third Bishop of Pueblo. He received his episcopal consecration James Vincent Casey, Archbishop of Denver, on 10 September 1980 Co-consecrators were Robert Fortune Sanchez, Archbishop of Santa Fe, and his predecessor in the episcopate Charles Albert Buswell.
