Artsimovich (crater)

Artsimovich is a small impact craters in Mare Imbrium west. The circular crater forms a cup-shaped cavity in the surface of the Mare. His neighbors are in the east Diophantus and Delisle in the Northeast. Approx. 20 km north-northeast lies the tiny crater Fedorov.
Artsimovich was known as ' A Diophantus ' before it by the IAU in 1973 got his own name.
He is named after the Soviet physicist Lev Andreevich Arzimowitsch.
