Aruna (singer)

Aruna Abrams is an American singer-songwriter and keyboard player. Using her stage name Aruna is known as Vocalist of several trance hits.

Biography

Aruna grew up in New Jersey and played piano since early childhood. She studied at the Berklee College of Music in music synthesis and film music. After the second year, she made a two-year interruption to move to Miami. There she played in the band Portal, which was formed in 1994 from the remaining members of the death metal band Cynic, after dissolving them. Aruna was active as a singer and keyboard player. After portal also in 1996 broke up, she finished her studies and then moved to Los Angeles, where she still lives today.

Their song " Break You Open " won the first prize at the USA Songwriting Competition in the category Pop, beating 30,000 other entries. In 2004, she released her debut album Running Red Lights.

One of her most successful productions was their song "I Got Nerve ", which she co-wrote with two other songwriters. The song was recorded by Hannah Montana and was published in October 2006 at the Hannah Montana soundtrack, which was sold in two months, more than 2 million times and went into the Billboard Top 200 at # 1. The song I Got Nerve came on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 67

For electronic dance music came Aruna in 2007 with the hit single "Waiting Here For You ", a collaboration with The Thrillseekers. The single reached number 5 in the Dutch dance charts. Since then, Aruna has with several trance artists worked with, among others, DJ Shah, ATB and Cosmic Gate, and co-produced more than ten club hits.

After they ( Myon & Shane better known as 54) had already produced in 2009, the single " Helpless " with the Hungarian Trance Duo Márió Égető and Előd Csaszar, the trio published in 2010, the single " Safe ( Wherever You Are) " under the pseudonym Velvetine. On 22 October 2010 their debut single " Let Go " was released.
