Arve Vorvik

Arve Vorvik (born 7 January 1974) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Vorvik earned his first World Cup competition on 8 February 1995 in Lillehammer. On the large hill he reached the 40th place. When ski flying in Vikersund he was on 18 February 30 then in March he won the gold medal on the normal hill at the Norwegian championships in ski jumping. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1995 in Thunder Bay, he could reach the 28th place on the large hill. As the World Cup competition on February 17, 1996 in Iron Mountain, he reached the first competition on the large hill in 8th position, the single best result of his career. A short time later, he won on the normal hill and with the team each the silver medal at the Norwegian championships. In the World Cup, however, he could barely jump on front seats and missed scoring points in some cases. However, on National level he was more successful. He won the silver medal on the normal hill at the Norwegian Championship 1997 in Mo i Rana. After another hapless jumping, denied Vorvik on February 2, 1997 Willingen his last World Cup competition. He then jumped two more years at the national level and was in Trondheim again with the Norwegian team 1998 champions.

Today Vorvik lives in Trondheim.
