Arvi Lind

Arvi Lind Kullervo ( born December 21, 1940 in Lauritsala, now part of Lappeenranta ) is a Finnish journalist. He worked from 1965 to 2003 when public broadcaster YLE TV1 as a newscaster, making it one of the longest working there spokesperson.

Life

His career at YLE began on October 15, 1965, the last newscast with him was broadcast on 15 October 2003, she was seen by more than 1.6 million viewers. By the beginning of 2004, he withdrew completely from the work back there. Since then, he holds lectures at universities about his work and is since 2005 working as an ombudsman for the newspaper Keskisuomalainen.

  • Lind's son, Juha Lind 's professional hockey player, he played among others in the NHL.
