Arvis Vilkaste

Arvis Vilkaste ( born April 8, 1989 in Balvi ) is a Latvian Bobsportler.

Career

In the 2013/14 season he won in St. Moritz and Igls his first two World Cup races in the four-man event. In this World Cup, he was active as a pusher for Oscars Melbārdis.

Arvis Vilkaste competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the four-man bobsleigh brakeman as Oskars Melbārdis. Along with this, Daumants Dreiskens and Jānis Strenga he won the silver medal.

Prior to his career in bobsleigh, he was active as a track and field athlete. With the season over 100m he won the 2008 Latvian championships.
