AS Cherbourg Football
The Association Sportive de Cherbourg Football is a French football club based in Cherbourg- Octeville, a port city in the department of Lower Normandy.
History
It was founded in 1906 as Stella de Cherbourg. This was the name of the club until 1945; then he was called for a merger of eleven local clubs AS Cherbourg Stella and took in 1960 to its present name. The club colors are blue and white; league team plays at the Stade Maurice Postaire, which has a capacity of 7,000 seats.

League membership
Professional status has 1960-1967 obsessed by the club in 1960 to FC Sète bought from its place in the professional camp Cherbourg. First class (Division 1 since 2002 in Ligue 1 renamed) played the club never; for the 2013/14 season he is again relegated to the fourth division.
