Asakku

Asakku is an Akkadian demon.

Asakku is considered the personification of pain and diseases, especially of the " head fever ". In the Epic of Gilgamesh Asakku is mentioned as one of the 13 storm winds that were sent by the sun god Šamaš. It is similar to the Sumerian Asag.
