Aschenstein

BWf1

The ash stone is a 945 meter high mountain in the frontal height chain of the Bavarian Forest to the village of Zenting.

Since more famous peaks like the Brotjacklriegel or Geißlstein are in the immediate vicinity, the unassuming stone ash is little visited. On its rocky peaks with small summit cross and a hunting lodge leads no marked trail, but he is no trail from Geißlstein reached quickly. Since the south side is now overgrown, there are now no more views.

In a survey conducted between ash and stone Geißlstein there is a provided with a cross rock views. The unnamed survey was nominated by the council Zenting at the meeting on 7 December 2009 Small ash stone. On the small ash stone there is a small cross on the summit and a summit register. The view from the top is considered to be surprisingly nice. To the south, the view opens over the entire Dreiburgenland with Thurmansbang and Zenting in Föhneinfluss the view extends to the top chain of the Northern Limestone Alps from the Dachstein to the Zugspitze. Due to the fast rise of Daxtein, Haunstein, Bärndorf, winches or Fradlberg the Geißlstein is frequently visited.
