The Ascraeus Mons, the Tharsis Montes the northernmost volcano in the Tharsis region on Mars. It is located near the equator. Its peak is 18 km high and is the second highest after the Olympus Mons volcano in the solar system.

The term Ascraeus Mons (Latin for " askräischer mountain") refers to the place Askra, the birthplace of Hesiod, on Mount Helicon in Boeotia.
