Ásgeir Örn Hallgrímsson (born 17 February 1984 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player. Its body length is 1.94 m.

Ásgeir, who plays for the French first division side Paris Saint- Germain HB and for the Icelandic national team ( back number 6) runs is mostly used in the right back, but he can run up to as Right Wing.

Ásgeir Örn Hallgrímsson debuted for Haukar Hafnarfjörður in the first Icelandic league. There he won the 2000, 2003 and 2004, the Icelandic championship. In 2005 he moved abroad for the first time, for TBV Lemgo in the German handball league. There he won, although in 2006 the EHF Cup, but was never able to properly enforce and disappointed especially as a replacement for the injured Florian return man. In 2007 he moved on to GOG Svendborg TGI to Denmark. After the bankruptcy of GOG during the 2009/10 season, he joined in 2010 the Danish second division Faaborg HK on. From July 2010, played Ásgeir Örn Hallgrímsson for the German first division club TSV Hannover -Burgdorf. After his contract expired in 2012 at Hanover, he joined the French club Paris HB. With Paris in 2013, he won the championship. For the 2014/15 season the left-handed changes to league rivals USAM Nîmes.

Ásgeir Örn Hallgrímsson has been contested 199 matches for the Icelandic national team. With his country he also took part in the World Cup 2007 in Germany, as well as the 2008 European Championships in Norway, but failed in the former in the quarterfinals, with the latter already in the main round. In summer 2012, he participated in the Olympic Games in London. At the European Championships in 2014 he finished fifth.
