Ashleigh Connor

Ashleigh Connor ( born September 3, 1989 in Campbelltown City, New South Wales, † 20 July, 2011 Cataract, New South Wales) was an Australian football player.

Life and career

Connor was born in Campbelltown City, New South Wales and grew up in Rose Meadow, NSW. She began her career in the youth of Uniting Church and Campbelltown City SC. This was followed by a beeline for her studies at the NSW Institute of Sport. Connor came 2008 on the Illawarra Stingrays in the NSW Women's Premier League, with whom she twice won the championship in the following years. In addition, she starred in the 2009/10 season nine games for the Central Coast Mariners in the W- League. She represented her native country at the U-19 Asian Cup Women 2007, when qualifying for the U-20 World Cup women was missed in 2008.

Connor crashed 20 July 2011 deadly with their car on the Appin Road in Cataract between Wollongong and Campbelltown.
