Ashley Fox

Ashley Fox (born 15 November 1969 Sutton Coldfield ) is a British politician of the Conservative Party and, since 2009 Member of the European Parliament.

After studying law at the Bristol Polytechnic (now University of the West of England ), which he in 1990 with the LL.B. ended, Fox worked for a year as an English teacher in France. Then he finished his studies in 1992 at Chester Law College and from 1992 to 1994 as a law clerk and from 1994 to 2009 as a lawyer.

In the British general election, 2001 Fox ran in Bath for the Conservative Party, but was unsuccessful. He became a member of the City Council of Bristol 2002. In the European elections in the United Kingdom 2009 Fox was elected to the European Parliament. He is a member of the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists Group and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs. He is also a member of the Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula. As Deputy Fox is in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China.

Ashley Fox is married and has a son and a daughter.
