Ashot Nadanian

Ashot Nadanjan (Armenian Աշոտ Նադանյան, born September 19, 1972 in Baku ) is an Armenian chess player and coach.

Chess coach and journalist

Nadanjan has a university degree as a chess trainer. 1998, at the age of 26, he became the official coach of the Armenian Chess Federation, FIDE 2007 official coach. He taught, among others, Gabriel Sargsyan and Varuzhan Akobian. From December 26th 1999 to 17 August 2001, he was the coach of the national team of Kuwait from 2005 to 2010, the national team of Singapore. For the team Intchess 2005 he was playing Singaporean team champion. He wrote articles for the magazines New In Chess, Chess Szachy, Kaissiber, chess magazine 64 and Chess Informant.

Chess players

As a member of the third team of Armenia Nadanjan participated in the Chess Olympiad in 1996 in Yerevan, where he reached with 6.5 points from 11 games on board 3, a positive result. Nadanjan carries since 1997 the title of International Master and has reached two Grand Master standards. His current Elo rating is 2433 (as of November 2009), the previous highest was 2475 in July 1997.
