Long-eared Owl (Asio otus )

The Long-eared Owls (Asio ) are a genus of authentics owls ( Strigidae ). The genus contains eight extant species that are distributed worldwide. These are medium to large sized owls. Most eared owls are nocturnal and hunt mainly small mammals. In Europe, the short-eared owl (Asio flammeus ) and the long-eared owl (Asio otus ) live.
