Askhat Zhitkeyev

Aschat Schitkejew ( Kazakh: Асхат Житкеев; born April 13, 1981 in Taldyqorghan ) is a Kazakhstani judoka (weight class light heavyweight - up to 100 kg), the Beijing Olympic silver medalist in 2008.

Achievements

• In 2001, he finished third at the World Championships.
• At the Asian Games in 2002 Aschat also took bronze.
• In the Asian Championships 2004, he won the gold medal.
• In 2005 he scored in these championships silver.
• His greatest achievement was the Olympic silver medal, which he won in Beijing in 2008.

Aschat Schitkejew is married to the Kazakh volleyball player Jelena Pavlova.
