Asley González

Asley Gonzalez Montero ( born September 5, 1989 in Villa Clara) is a Cuban judoka. He fights in the weight category up to 90 kilograms.

Career

After two third place finishes in 2008 and 2009, González was between 2010 and 2012 three-time Cuban champion. In 2011 he won the title at the Pan American Championships, in 2012, he finished second. He won in 2011 the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara.

In August 2011, he took part in the World Judo Championships in Paris and won the bronze medal in his weight class. The following year he won the silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In the final he was defeated in the extension to Golden Score the South Korean Song Dae -nam.
