Asmaa Mahfouz

Asmaa Mahfouz (born 1 February 1985 in Cairo, Egypt) is a political activist, blogger and co-founder of the Youth Movement of April 6 and one of the most famous members of the Coalition of the Youth of the Revolution.

She became one of the symbolic figures of the revolution in Egypt. With their now famous bewordenen Video January 18, 2011 with their courageous 'No' to the corrupt Mubarak regime, their demand for freedom, democratic rights and social justice, they contributed significantly to the fact that hundreds of thousands of Egyptians against the past 30 years on raised them oppressive Mubarak regime and brought it to case.
