The Asphe (also Asphebach ) is a 10.5 km long left tributary of the Wetschaft Creek Treisbach in the counties of Waldeck- Frankenberg and Marburg -Biedenkopf in Hesse.
Course
The Asphe originates at Südostfuß of the 583 m high carbon mountain to the so-called Bagpipe Vorhöhen in the eastern foothills of the Rothaargebirge and first flows in an easterly direction, the village Frohnhausen is happening south. A northern source river, immediately to the saddle between the two summits Kohlberg has its source in 481 m altitude, it flows to Frohnhausen from the left.
In the further course of the southeastern Asphe passes through the villages Oberasphe, Niederasphe and Amönau where it finally flows into the Treisbach.
