Assimiou Touré (born 1 January 1988 Sokodé ) is a Togolese football player who also has the German nationality.

Club career

Touré had lived since the age of five in mountain town, where he played until 2000 at the local club SSV Bergneustadt. With twelve years of change took place in the youth section of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Because of his talent, he played mostly a higher age group. Already at 17 he came in the U-19 Bundesliga used.

On 19 October 2006 it was first used in the UEFA Cup game against FC Bruges in the first team. At his Bundesliga debut on 22 October 2006 compared Hamburger SV he played 45 minutes. In summer 2007, Touré was loaned for one season to the second division VfL Osnabrück. End of September 2007 he suffered in the second league match against FC St. Pauli a tibia and fibula fracture and was thereby made ​​for the rest of the season. After the end of the season his loan contract was extended for one year, due to injuries he came, however, only two more missions. In the summer of 2009 he returned to Bayer.

There he came in the second half of 2009/10 only to use one in the starting lineup. After the descent of Arminia in the 3rd League Touré was there no new contract.

After about a year of Vereinslosigkeit he received for the 2012/13 season a contract with the third division SV Babelsberg 03

On July 4, 2013 it was revealed that Touré to the regional league KFC Uerdingen 05 changes.

National team career

Beginning of 2006, Touré received German citizenship and was twice used in the German U-18 juniors. However, he was surprisingly invited by Otto Pfister for a training camp of the Togolese national team in the Netherlands and used on May 14, 2006, a friendly against Saudi Arabia for 75 minutes ( final score 0:1 ). He participated in the 2006 World Cup with Togo.

Touré was sitting in the last row before Emmanuel Adebayor in the national team bus on the way to the African Cup of 2010 in Angola shortly after arriving in the exclave of Cabinda victim of a terrorist attack was perpetrated by rebels of the FLEC.
