Assis is a city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, was established on 1 July 1905. The city is located 22 ° 39 '42 " South 50 ° 24' 44 " West. Assis is the seat of the provincial government and the consortium Intercommunal Paranapanema Valley, for merging 21 municipalities with a total of about 400,000 inhabitants.

The economy in Assis is dominated by the cultivation of soy, wheat and corn, but also by the automotive industry. Assis has a domestic airport (IATA: AIF / ICAO: SBAS ) with the rail system 12/30 and a length of 30m 1.700mx.
