Assumption of Moses

The Assumption of Moses, lat Assumptio Moses, a preserved in Latin, originally a lost Greek version possibly going back to an Aramaic or Hebrew original version of apocalyptic writing in the 1st century AD It is revealed by the dying Moses, Joshua, the future history of Israel down to the time of Herod's sons. Almost all introductory questions such as the origin of the author, the date of composition and the original language are controversial.
