Asta Kask

Asta Kask is a Swedish punk band from Töreboda.

History

In 1978, the band of Micke Blomqvist (vocals and guitar), Pelle Karlsson, Uffe Karlsson and Stefan Hovbjer was only founded under the name X - Tas and later renamed Asta Kask. This band took 1981 to the first EP and parted shortly thereafter.

Micke had founded with Bonni " Bonta " Pontén as second guitarist and singer Magnus " Ernie " Hörnell as bassist and Magnus " Bjurre " Bjuren as drummer, the band re- late 1982.

Up to and including 1986 3 EPs, a mini - LP or Maxi -EP, a live album and a studio LP emerged. Since Asta Kask never had planned to record a complete LP, but they finally did it but they gave her the title " Aldrig en LP" ( never a LP). Then they parted, and played in other bands like Strebers or Cosa Nostra.

1989 there was a Asta Kask reunion because all had four fun making music together. This was followed by a live split CD with Roland 's Gosskör, 1993 another live CD. The early 90s some 80s - releases of the band have also been re-released on CD. After that again - this time for 10 years - Final with Asta Kask. 2000 best-of compilation LP and one EP were released with unreleased material at Höhnie Records in Germany.

2003/2004, the members of the band were back together and toured extensively throughout Sweden. In addition, a best of double CD with studio and demo recordings was released. In 2004 she had her first appearance on the punk - in - pot festival, in which, however drummer Bjurre precipitated and was replaced by Phill Hill by Rasta jail in Germany.

Meanwhile Bjurre has but separate from the band. The new drummer David " Dadde " Stark is now taking over his position.

On 15 November 2006, the first studio album in 20 years, " En för alla ingen för Nan " and the DVD "Dom får aldrig mig " was released. The DVD includes a 56- minute film about the history of the band, 16 live tracks and a bonus CD with 17 new recordings of their old songs. Beginning of 2007 a re-release of " Aldrig s CD" and a compilation of all vinyl EPs in digital form on employees is planned.
