ASV Herzogenaurach

The ASV Herzogenaurach is a football club from the Middle Franconian town of Herzogenaurach.

History

The club was founded in 1919 as Sport Club arrow. After dissolution during the time of National Socialism because of belonging to the workers' sports he was re-established after the Second World War to the present name.

Supported by the local sporting goods manufacturer Adidas and its owner Adolf Dassler played the club from 1972 to 1977 in the Bavarian League. In the season 1973 /74 ASV won the title. Due to the restructuring of the leagues system in German football and the dissolution of the regional leagues in favor of the 2nd Bundesliga club but no rise was chartered. After relegation to the lowest league from the late 1980s, the club now plays in the A-Class.
