Athens Concert Hall

The Megaro Mousikis ( Mέγαρο Mουσικής, " Music Hall ", after the ancient term usually Megaron ) is the concert venue of the charitable " Society of Friends of Music " ( Eταιρία των Φίλων της Mουσικής ) at the Vasilissis - Sofias Avenue in Athens. History

The Society of Friends of Music since 1954 collected funds for the construction of a concert hall. 1976 could be started with the building according to the architect Emanouil Vourkelas; as the structural work was completed, the financial resources of the company were already exhausted. The Ministry of Culture decided to completion and handed the finished building in 1991 for use with the Society of Friends of Music. Building
