Atomic Tom

Atomic Tom is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York consisting of Luke White (vocals), Eric Espiritu (guitar ), Philip Galitzine (bass) and Tobias Smith (drums).

History

Published in 2005 the first EP of the band, Anthems for the Disillusioned. Followed in 2007 their first single, You Always Get What You Want.

Since January 2010, the band at Universal Republic Records, a label of Universal Music Group, under contract. The first published album of the band, "The Moment ", was released on 27 July 2010 at the iTunes store, on Amazon and other online music services. In November 2010, the CD was released in trade.

In October 2010, the band became known for the performance of their single Take Me Out played on four appropriate instruments " Apps " equipped iPhones in a New York subway. The band stated that their instruments were stolen and that they therefore were playing on their iPhones. The story was fictitious. The accompanying YouTube video was viewed more than five million copies to date. In January 2011, reached number 22 in Take Me Out Billboards Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart in the United States.

In the show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 28 October 2010, the band for the first time on television was seen .. The band had more television appearances and gave interviews in the program The Early Show, Rachael Ray Show, E! News, A Different Spin with Mark Hoppus, and Lopez Tonight.

In February 2011, the band released the cover version of Do not You Want Me by The Human League for the soundtrack of the film Take Me Home Tonight. In the accompanying music video alongside the band members interact with numerous actors from the film.

In autumn 2011, Atomic Tom as support for the U.S. tour of Switchfoot and Anberlin were there and in March 2012 they were part of the lineup of the legendary The Rock Boat on the journey from New Orleans to Cozumel.
