Attantané is a rural municipality in the Department Mayahi in Niger.

Geography

Attantané lies in the Sahel. The neighboring municipalities are guidan Amoumoune the northwest, Tchaké in the northeast, Mayahi the southeast, Sarkin Haoussa in the southwest and Maïyara in the West. In the south of the Wadi Attantané Goulbi N'Kaba runs. The municipality is divided into 38 administrative villages, 102 villages and seven stock. The main town of the country church is the administrative village Attantané.

History

Before the arrival of the French at the turn of the 19th to 20th century Attantané part of the independent state Gobir. The rural community Attantané went out in 2002 as part of a nationwide administrative reform a part of the canton Mayahi.

Population
