Attic Entertainment Software

The Attic Entertainment Software GmbH ( engl. attic " attic " ) was a German computer game developer and publisher in September 1990 by Hans -Jürgen Brandle, Jochen Hamma and Guido Henkel ( previously Dragonware ) was founded in Albstadt.

Attic was known among other things by the computer game series The Dark Eye: The Nordland trilogy, based on the popular in German-speaking pen -and- paper role-playing game The Dark Eye. After getting further delayed the development of a successor, Nordlandtrilogie under the title Legends of the Mage Wars, this project was shut down in a very advanced stage. Contrary to some rumors, Attic, however, was not resolved as a company.

Jochen Hamma is now managing partner of Fantastic Realms Interactive GmbH, acts as a consultant for the German computer games industry and is regarded as a founder of IGDA Chapter Frankfurt am Main. Hamma is now the sole owner of copyright in respect of all games released by Attic. Henkel has lived since the closure of Attic in the U.S. and is the managing partner of G3 Studios, a U.S. game developer for mobile games. Hans -Jürgen Brandle died on 12 May 2005 in Las Vegas.
