Attila Sávolt

Attila Sávolt ( born February 5, 1976 in Budapest ) is a former Swedish tennis player.

Career

Sávolt was especially successful on the second-rate Challenger Tour. He won in his career thirteen Challenger titles, including six in singles and seven in doubles. On the ATP Tour, he was in 2001 in Sopot, in the final, but lost on the side of Irakli Labadze against Australian Paul Hanley and Nathan Healey. At Grand Slam tournaments he could be reached the third round at the French Open in 2000 and 2003.

He took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000. He went to both the individual as well as in doubles. In individual he met in the opening round in the Philippines Paradorn Srichaphan, to whom he was defeated with 2:6, 6:4, 5:7. In the doubles competition, he retired at the side of Gábor Köves also already in the first round. They lost in three sets against the Italians Cristian Brandi and Massimo Bertolini.

Sávolt played between 1996 and 2002 a total of 13 matches for the Hungarian Davis Cup team. Both its individual balance sheet at 12:11 victories as well as his double balance with 8:4 victories is positive.
