Au Gres is a place in Arenac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. In the area of the village is the Au Gres Airport. In 2000, the city had 1028 inhabitants.

Geography

Au Gres is located at the Au Gres River, just a few hundred meters from the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron, and empties into the river. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.2 km ², of which 5.9 km ² of land and 0.2 km ² omitted ( = 3.78 %) to water.

U.S. Highway 23, which runs along the shore of Lake Huron, through the town. Runs from mid-May to mid-October between Au Gres and about 15 km from the Charity Iceland in the middle of Saginaw Bay ferry.
