Augusto Vera

Augusto Vera ( born May 4, 1813 in Amelia, Terni, † July 13, 1885 in San Giorgio a Cremano, Province of Naples ) was an Italian philosopher. He stepped out mainly as a translator and interpreter of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel's philosophy. Through the translation of the three parts of the Encyclopedia of the Philosophical Sciences - Logic (1859 ), Philosophy of Nature ( 1863-66 ), philosophy of mind ( 1867-69 ) - and the Lectures on the Philosophy of Religion ( 1876-78 ), he contributed greatly to the reception of Hegel in France and Italy.
