Aura (Toronto)

The aura is a building under construction in Toronto (Canada), which should include not only a classic residential complex, a shopping center, gyms, bars and other facilities. The building will be located in 388 Yonge Street corner of Gerrard Street, Toronto. Construction of the building was in April 2010, according to the plans, it will be completed in 2014.

History

In the early days of construction plans two skyscrapers were provided. This skyscraper to be built on a ten-story podium. The higher skyscrapers should have 60 floors, including podium and reach a height of 196.5 meters. The smaller tower should reach a height of 74.5 meters, with 20 floors. The project was modified so that instead of two Tower is a skyscraper on the podium will be built, which includes 75 floors.

In February 2012, the City of Toronto approved three more stories for the building project. Thus, the building will have 78 floors and is thus Canada's tallest residential building.

Architecture
