Aurach (river)

BW

The Herzogenaurach is a river in Upper Austria.

River course

The Herzogenaurach rises in the high leakage field of Hell Mountains and flows through the wooded Aurachtal, extending through the municipalities of Altmünster ( Neukirchen, Reindlmühl, Finsterau ) and Pinsdorf ( Kufhaus ) draws. Near the place Pinsdorf she leaves the Aurachtal and continues through the foothills of the Alps on Aurachkirchen until it opens between Wankham and Sicking ( Desselbrunn ) in the Ager.

The Herzogenaurach is not to be confused with the so-called drought Herzogenaurach, which flows nearly parallel and only a few kilometers upstream discharges into the Ager.
