Location of the Aurunci

The Aurunci ( Ausonians mountains ) are a mountain range in the Italian region of Lazio. It is located about 130 km southeast of Rome and 70 km north- west of Naples, between the valley of the Liri and the Tyrrhenian Sea. In the northwest, the Monti close to Ausoni. The ridge is a karstified limestone.

The Ausonians mountains have a stretch of about 30 km in the east-west direction and 15 km in a north-south direction.
