Australian Pink Floyd Show

The Australian Pink Floyd Show is a cover band that imitates the songs of the rock band Pink Floyd from the early days with Syd Barrett until the last few albums. It was founded in 1988 in Adelaide, Australia. Their distinguishing mark is a pink kangaroo, which is derived from the original Pink Floyd pig.

The band has set itself the goal to replay the music of Pink Floyd faithfully. This includes the right to provide as accurate as possible live show. This includes new twisted films, which are provided with their distinctive mark, the kangaroo and also turn represent detailed copies of the original films. In 1993, the band performed at the International Pink Floyd fan meeting at the Wembley Conference Centre. For the song Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2 ) joined with them in the chorus of Islington Green School; Students of this school were singing the chorus to the piece already on the Pink Floyd album The Wall in 1979. Again in 2007 and 2008, joined the band on at the Royal Albert Hall.

  • Published in 2004 a live DVD of the concert in the Liverpool Kings Dock Waterfront Arena on 17 July of the same year. It contains a complete performance of The Dark Side Of The Moon and alongside the usual Floyd program titles ( Careful With That Axe, Eugene ) were performed live by Pink Floyd not (The Fletcher Memorial Home ) or very long time. It also includes a bonus DVD with interviews, documentation, other video and audio tracks and others.
  • 2007 appeared a recorded at London's Royal Albert Hall Live DVD with the current program, which the band played in developing a " UK & Europe Tour 2008".
